This campaign is funded by residents, not interests. The money goes toward flyers, signs, SkyTrain outreach, and the actual work of running. Not to consultants. Not to a political machine.
If you contribute $1, you are saying: someone should actually try to fix this city. That is what Scott is doing.
"Whether you give one dollar or the maximum allowed, it will not buy you or your business interests any influence over this campaign or what I do in office. That is the whole point. I am running to end the pay-to-play culture at City Hall — not to continue it at a smaller scale."

City contracts are awarded on merit. A campaign contribution is not a factor, and contributing while seeking a city contract will be treated as a reason for additional scrutiny, not less.
The campaign's public email and volunteer programs are open to everyone. Contributing does not get you a phone number, a private meeting, or advance notice of anything.
Every volunteer who helps leaflet SkyTrain stations gets a photo with Scott before he gets too busy after winning. That offer is literal. It is the closest thing to buying influence this campaign will ever offer — and it costs one hour and a stack of flyers, not a cheque.
