This page exists to compare what City Hall has publicly promised against what it has publicly delivered — and to hold Scott Gilbert to the exact same standard.
If elected, every commitment on this website will be published on the City of Vancouver's website — and subjected to public quarterly audits. Not press releases. Not vague progress updates. A real, dated, public record of what was promised and what was actually done.
If a promise is behind schedule, that will be published too — along with the reason why and the plan to catch up. Accountability has to work in both directions, or it isn't accountability.
A running public list of City Hall commitments — announcements, budget promises, and council motions — measured against what actually happened. Entries will be added here with dates, sources, and outcomes as they are verified.
This list is being compiled and sourced. Each entry will show the original promise, the date it was made, the source, and the current, verifiable status. Have a promise that should be on this list? Send it to the campaign.
What was said, when it was said, and who said it — with a source link wherever one exists.
What actually happened, verified against public records, budgets, and reporting — not talking points.
Kept, broken, delayed, or in progress — labelled honestly, the same way every policy on this site is labelled.
Send it in with a source. This page only works if it stays honest — about City Hall's record, and about Scott's.
